Minerali Industriali technology at complete disposal of a glass factory: wet treatment plant for sands and dry treatment plant for feldspar, limestone and dolomite.

Wet/Dry Plant
The project, located in the Central-South of Turkmenistan (30 km North the city of Ashgabat), consisted in the construction of a wet plant for the treatment of silica sand, and a dry plant for the treatment of limestone and dolomite for float and container glass producer. The construction, installation and start-up lasted about 6 months, after which the customer was able to use technologically advanced facilities equipped with high automation that makes it very simple to use.
This enormous plant is able to satisfy all needs of float glass and bottles, since this industry does not exist yet in the country at the Caspian Sea.
The project was built under two geodesic dome to reduce the costs and to reduce the assembly time.
The aim of the project was the production of 3 types of materials according to precise grain size, chemical specifications and heavy refractory minerals.
The need for high output capacity has required a high degree of design, developed in about 6 months, using special software for technical drawing.
The staff, during the assembly, was trained by participating in an in-depth training course, which took place in the plants of Minerali Industriali in Italy, and thus acquiring the necessary knowledge to be able to operate even during the start-up.
The dry process plant consists of the secondary crushing, hammer mill, drying, screening, de-dust filtering, silos for storage or silo-trucks load.
The dry plant can treat about 16 t/h of limestone and dolomite, with a potential production of 30 thousand tons per year.
The material is crushed by jaw crusher and hammer mill, dried by high efficence dryer and screened several time. Dust from grinding is aspirated and contained by appropriate filters in order to maintain a safe and clean working environment. The storage of the material is done in specific silos in order to avoid possible external pollution. The entire process is automated and controlled from a computerized workstation, even remotely.
The wet plant is used for the treatment of silica sand and has a capacity of 24 t/h, with a potential production of 140 thousand tons per year. The finished product must comply with strict chemical, grain size and heavy refractory minerals specifications and must not exceed a certain level of humidity.
To achieve these objectives, we installed a vibro screen for removing the coarse particle, hydro cyclones, hydrosizer, spiral classifiers, attrition scrubber, gravimetric spirals, vibrating screen and draining floor for dewatering the final product (0,1-0,5 mm fraction) for glass production.
In the wet plant was also installed hydro cyclones for separate the fine sand and heavy metals as by-product.
A series of pumps and belts allow the transport of the material in each point of the plant.
The entire process is automated and controlled from a computerized workstation, even remotely.
